Validation
Validation is conducted by an independent third-party validation and verification body (VVB) to ensure the project conforms with the Standard and methodology requirements. Validation occurs after the project design phase and public comment period.

Monitoring, Validation and Reporting
Projects must report on project implementation for the entire project lifetime. This includes annual monitoring requirements and updates to the project design every four years.
