Monitoring and Reporting

Monitoring and reporting occurs throughout the project lifetime, and includes annual monitoring requirements, periodic reviews of monitoring reports, and updates to project design through an adaptive management process every five years. Developers must report on project implementation and performance for the entire project lifetime, and Equitable Earth monitors the entire project area using remote sensing and satellite imagery, and quantifies GHG reductions and/or removals.

Annually, commencing from initial project registration and continuing throughout the project term. The monitoring fee also applies for each year of pre-submission activities. Fees for pre-submission activity years are due with the first annual monitoring fee after project registration.

Verification

Verification is conducted at a frequency selected by the developer (e.g., annually) with verification periods covering no more than five years. Following each successful verification, carbon credits are issued.
